Our KindaMovement Places and Spaces

We are building a network of Kindness Venues which are either owned by, or work in association with, our charity - each venue delivering services of benefit to people in their locality, supporting individuals and community groups with facilities and guidance for their personal social missions, and delivering the values of the charity.

Each tMK-owned network venue operates a social enterprise or co-operative/community model, with profit used to support local social impact initiatives. Venues pay an annual rent or donate any excess profit to support the charity’s minimal overheads and global charitable activities.

Here’s a little bit about each of the Kindness Venues in our KindaMovement network:-

KindaKafe, Norwich, UK

Our flagship venue and first KindaKafe (KK1) now managed by social enterprise Pop Up Enterprises CIC. A community cafe, selling home-cooked veggie/vegan food, with a ‘pay-it-forward’ scheme, volunteer opportunities, community support group meetup facilities and events. Focussed on tackling loneliness and isolation, KK1 now has an active user network and has firmly established itself as an inspirational hub for local kindness...

KindaVillage, Pencader, UK

We’re developing our social enterprise community on our beautiful 80 acre kindness farm, nestled on the riverside in the Teifi valley. We’ve got ambitious plans for provision of: wellbeing retreat experiences, intergenerational and alternative elderly care and schooling, a sanctuary for abused farm animals, organic crop growth, incubation facilities for micro social enterprise start-ups, our new charity HQ, as well as an area devoted to affordable self-build eco houses...

KindaPlace and KindaKafe, Paignton, UK

In 2019, we’ll be turning Preston Sands Hotel into a Social Impact Centre, serving the Torbay community. As well as being the base for our second KindaKafe (KK2), KindaPlace will be home to many of our ‘Kinda’ projects, including: KindaCare, KindaSound Radio, KindaExperiences, KindaCuisine...

KindaForest School, Halesworth, UK

KindaEducation CIC kicked off with the opening of its forest school in Kali Wood in 2018, giving children of varying ages - including those who find mainstream education challenging - alternative learning experiences, building community with nature as a backdrop. And what fun they’re all having, come rain or shine...

The Missing Sock, Cambridge, UK

A quirky, alternative, wedding and celebrations venue, which has been donating its profits to the Missing Kind charity for several years. 2019 sees the ramping up of social impact activity, providing local charitable organisations with free event space, hosting holistic sober socials and events, and providing volunteer skills-learning and work experience opportunities to local college students and workawayers...

Oby Mill, Norfolk, UK

In conjunction with the Broads Authority, City College Norwich students and Heritage Lottery funds, the mill will be renovated in 2019 and will then be home to our ‘Oby Greencare’ project; providing recovery retreats in nature to disadvantaged groups...

Breathing Space, Hickling, UK
